November 19, 2006 -- Galloping Hills Inn - Union, New Jersey ...

HOW IT ALL STARTED

For many years individual unions contributed individually to the United Negro College Fund. In 1988, representatives from various labor organizations joined together in an effort to maximize their efforts and to highlight their continued generous support, thus forming the New Jersey Advisory Board. Each year the New Jersey Advisory Board Intensifies its efforts during the fall of the year to sponsor and annual event  which to date has raised over $204,000.00   In recognition of the obstacles confronting our youth, the leadership on this Board has strongly vocalized its renewed interest in not only searching for a solution to the increased adversity that our children will face in the new millennium and proudly joins the struggle to fight for the survival of a people.
