From The President's Desk

(ILA Local 1233 President : William B. Dudley)

My fellow brothers and sisters,

We are about to embark upon a new era; one I hope will bring us closer together through communication. It has been stated that a well-informed member is one who makes intelligent decisions regarding matters relating to his or her work place, family and life. Hopefully, that will be the case this website along with the newsletter provides.

We will attempt to provide you with as much pertinent information as possible. The basis for most communication media is to provide a market place for exchange of free ideas including criticism and praise. Let this be the foundation. But remember, an organization is only as strong as its membership. One cannot remain on the riverbank while others merge themselves into trouble waters. Only when one jumps into the fray can they feel what those fighting for you experience.

Attend union meetings, read materials given or mailed to you. Accept advice and information. Examine each, but always apply it to the best interest of you and your family. Let this be the start of a new day.

Yours in progress,

William Bernard Dudley
